Top 5 : most beautiful luxury lodges in Namibia

For this trip in Namibia we rented a 4×4 equipped with a roof tent to live a new experience and reduce the costs of the trip.

Honestly after a few nights in tents we were happy to find a good bed!

So we tried to alternate,three nights in camping and 1 night in a lodge. The lodges are incredible so it’s time to take advantage of them.

We also slept in the campsites of the lodges so we could benefit from the infrastructures proposed by the accommodations, restaurant, common room, wifi, swimming pool (even if in August the temperature of the water is very fresh).

1. Grootberg ecological lodge: an unforgettable view

The Grootberg ecological lodge is our favorite of the stay.

The view of the Damaraland mountains from the main building and the pool is incredible. You won’t get tired of it!

The meal is excellent with fresh and local products. The breakfast is also excellent. Meals are served in the main building and you can enjoy the breathtaking view at the same time!

The slope to reach the lodge is steep. Don’t worry, you can park your car downstairs and the lodge staff will drive you to the reception.

The reception is also impeccable, go there with your eyes closed🙂

2. Etosha Village lodge: at the gateway to the national park

Etosha Village lodge is ideally located, 2 kilometers south ofAndersson Gate, one of the gateways to Etosha Park where you will have an incredible safari.

So you can enter the park as soon as the gates open. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is adorable, they will give you lots of tips to visit the park! 

The bungalows are well spaced out from each other. They are very spacious with a nice bathroom. Each accommodation is equipped with a nice terrace with table overlooking the nature. You will already cross some animals: goudoux, giraffes…

3. Rostock ritz lodge : in the middle of nature

The Rostock ritz lodge offers a splendid view on a huge desert plain. You can observe various animals, ostriches, zebras, jackals… The sunset is incredible!

The accommodation is ideally located at 50km from Solitaire, we stopped between the Namib brand reserve and Swakopmund.

The swimming pool with a view of the Namib desert is beautiful, you can relax around it on the sun beds. The reception of the owner is very pleasant. Another great experience.

4. Mushara Bush Camp: a night in a luxury tent

Mushara Bush Camp is located 5 minutes from the eastern entrance toEtosha Park(Von Lindequist gate). You will be able to enter the park as soon as it opens to enjoy your day!

We loved the ultra-comfortable tent accommodation. Each accommodation is equipped with a bed with mosquito net and a space to relax inside and outside.

The restaurant is totally open to the outside which is very pleasant. The staff is lovely and helpful. The meals and breakfasts are good and copious.

It is an ideal stop to visit the park on its eastern part.

5. We Kebi Safari Lodge: lost in the desert

We Kebi Safari Lodge is located 1 hour from the beautiful Sossusvlei dunes.

The lodge is located in a splendid environment in the middle of the desert. Do not miss the sunset which is simply incredible.

The bungalows are pleasant, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The staff is lovely, they know this area very well and will give you good advice!
