During our trip to Puglia, we stayed in Masseria or Agriculturismo, the equivalent of our bed and breakfast, to explore the Italian countryside and sleep in quiet, natural places.
These old agricultural buildings are beautifully restored, combining authenticity and all the modern comforts, often in an incredible natural environment amidst olive trees and vineyards.

1- Masseria Cervarolo in Martina Franca – Ostuni
The sublime Masseria Cervarolo is an ancient farmhouse of the XVI century, located in the countryside, only 6km from Ostuni. The hotel is composed of traditional houses typical of the region, Trulli, which are whitewashed houses with conical roofs, transformed into comfortable rooms with exposed stones. The 5 year restoration has preserved the original building.
It’s an incredible place with a beautiful large pool, with plenty of loungers, ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The staff is adorable and will help you organize your stay you can go there with your eyes closed.

2- Masseria Montenapoleone – Monopoli – Ostuni
The beautiful Masseria Montenapoleone is nestled in a beautifully renovated building, the whole is very charming with attention to detail and a beautiful pool. Its location, 10 minutes from the sea, between Monopoli, Alberobello and Ostuni, will allow you to explore the area.
The place is enchanting, in the middle of olive trees, vineyards and cactus, with magnificent sunsets. Many of the products served on the plate are grown directly on the property.

3- Masseria Berzario – Lecce
The Masseria Berzario is a unique address, situated in the middle of the olive trees, the renovated rooms are nicely decorated . It is ideally located, south of Lecce “The baroque Florence of Puglia” and 10 minutes by car from the coast and the incredible beaches and rock formations. The pool, surrounded by grass, is large and pleasant, again a real place to relax!
The hotel does not offer on-site catering, only breakfasts with local products. He puts his kitchen at your disposal, very practical to avoid going out in the evening. A fully equipped studio is available for rent, in addition to the rooms. It is an excellent value for money for the region.

The Masseria Salinola is an ancient farmhouse that extends over seven hectares, restored in the local style, with stone and whitewash interiors.

The Masseria Spetterata is located on the heights of the Itria Valley, in the heart of century-old olive trees and enjoys an exceptional view of the coastline from the pool. It is one of the Masseria with an excellent location, 15 minutes from the sea, between Monopoli, Alberobello and Ostuni, the main centers of interest in the area.

The agriturismo Grota Di Figazzano, is a farmhouse dating back to the 1800s, the complex is composed of 9 trulli, traditional whitewashed houses with conical roofs. These typical houses of the Apulian region have an incredible charm. The materials used keep it cool in summer (which can be very appreciable) and keep it warm in winter.

The Masseria Bagnara is an old farmhouse dating back to the end of the XVII century. The facility opened in 2020 after 5 years of renovation. The rooms are spacious, modern and functional.

What to see and do in Puglia, Italy
Puglia is less visited than its neighbors, such as Tuscany, the Amalfi coast, the region of Naples and Venice… Obviously we were very attracted by this side of the world!
On the program, small villages full of charm such as Monopoli and Polignano a mare as well as the city of Lecce “The baroque Florence of Puglia” and sublime beaches with crystal clear waters.
You will also visit traditional and unique houses, Trulli in the town of Alberobello and Sassi in the historic town of Matera and finally an incredible gastronomy, our palates still remember it!
