In our opinion, Mount Vesuvius<\/strong> and the archaeological site of Pompeii<\/strong> are two must-see attractions when visiting Naples<\/a>. They are about 25 kilometers apart, so it\u2019s entirely possible to visit Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii in a single day<\/strong>, provided you book your tickets and plan your itinerary in advance. <\/p>\n\n

We spent a lot of time planning our trip to the Naples area. In this article, we\u2019ve compiled everything you need to know to visit both sites on the same day: the order of the visits, tickets, how to get there by car or public transportation, parking, and how much time to allow for each site. <\/p>\n\n

Where are Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii located?<\/h2>\n\n

Mount Vesuvius<\/strong> and Pompeii<\/strong> are located southeast of Naples, on either side of the volcano.<\/p>\n\n
