the cuisine is extremely varied.<\/span><span id=\"p2\">  As you can imagine, this was not to our displeasure.<\/span><span id=\"p3\">  It was our first time in Asia, so we were very happy to be able to sample different types of cuisine.<\/span><span id=\"p22\">  Still, we quickly turned to the Chinese specialties, which were far less spicy than the others.  <\/span><span id=\"p5\">Again, as in Latin America, we ate at markets called <span id=\"11\" class=\"s-rg-t\">Foodstalls <\/span>.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1128\" both;\"><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Our favorite specialties:<br \/>\n<span id=\"p33\">&#8211;<\/span><span id=\"p34\"><strong>Nasi lemak(Malay)<\/strong>:<\/span><span id=\"p98\">  we&#8217;d already tried out a really good Malaysian restaurant in Australia, and without realizing it, we&#8217;d taken the most typical dish.<\/span><span id=\"p36\">  In the center of the plate or palm leaf, sticky rice with coconut milk is placed <span id=\"p32\">(a magic word for me)<\/span>, followed by a hard-boiled <span id=\"68\" class=\"s-rg-t\">egg<\/span>, cucumber slices, crunchy peanuts and dried salted anchovies.<\/span><span id=\"p99\">  This dish is usually served for breakfast&#8230;<\/span><span id=\"p100\">  In Malaysia, it wasn&#8217;t easy to find sweet treats early in the morning.<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"p40\">&#8211;<\/span><span id=\"p41\"><strong> <span id=\"73\" class=\"s-rg-t\">Roti<\/span> Canai <span id=\"p39\">(Indian)<\/span><\/strong>:<\/span><span id=\"p101\"> fried pancakes served with a variety of sauces, always spicy of course.<\/span><span id=\"p43\"> This dish is eaten mainly for breakfast, <span class=\"s-bl-t\"><span id=\"78\">once again, salty food predominates in the morning.<\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"p45\">&#8211;<\/span><span id=\"p46\"><strong> <span id=\"81\" class=\"s-rg-t\">Dim<\/span> Sum <span id=\"p44\">(Chinese)<\/span><\/strong>:<\/span><span id=\"p47\"> these are steamed ravioli <span id=\"82\" class=\"s-rg-t\">filled with<\/span> meat or vegetables.<\/span><span id=\"p102\"> It&#8217;s good and, above all, quite healthy.<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"p50\">&#8211;<\/span><span id=\"p51\"><strong> <span id=\"89\" class=\"s-rg-t\">Mee<\/span> <span id=\"90\" class=\"s-rg-t\">goreng<\/span> <span id=\"p49\">(<span id=\"88\" class=\"s-rg-t\">Malay\/Indonesian<\/span>)<\/span><\/strong>:<\/span><span id=\"p52\"> stir-fried noodles with vegetables, also a staple dish in Indonesia, we&#8217;re not done eating it and <span id=\"93\" class=\"s-or-t\">telling<\/span> you <span id=\"93\" class=\"s-or-t\">about<\/span> it.<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"p54\">&#8211;<\/span><span id=\"p55\"><strong> <span id=\"94\" class=\"s-rg-t\">Popiah<\/span> <span id=\"p53\">(Chinese)<\/span><\/strong>:<\/span><span id=\"p56\"> a kind of steamed sweet and sour spring roll, a &#8220;killer&#8221;.<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"p58\">&#8211;<\/span><span id=\"p59\"><strong> <span id=\"95\" class=\"s-rg-t\">Chicken<\/span> <span id=\"96\" class=\"s-rg-t\">rice<\/span> <span id=\"p57\">(Malay)<\/span><\/strong>:<\/span><span id=\"p60\"> rice cooked in chicken broth served with chicken, simple and nutritious.<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"p62\">&#8211;<\/span><span id=\"p63\"><strong> <span id=\"97\">Chicken<\/span> butter <span id=\"p61\">(Indian):<\/span><\/strong> a non-spicy dish, rare enough to mention, it&#8217;s chicken sweet treats :<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"p110\">&#8211;<\/span><span id=\"p111\"><strong> R\u00f4ti <span id=\"122\" class=\"s-rg-t\">banana<\/span> <span id=\"p109\">(Indian) <\/span><\/strong>: fried pancakes with pieces of banana.<\/span><span id=\"p139\"> Of course, we ate them as soon as we could find them.<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"p114\">&#8211;<\/span><span id=\"p115\"><strong> <span id=\"125\" class=\"s-rg-t\">Dim<\/span> sum <span id=\"p113\">(Chinese):<\/span><\/strong> steamed ravioli <span id=\"126\" class=\"s-rg-t\">filled<\/span> with coconut, red bean or chocolate paste.<\/span><span id=\"p140\"> Delicious for breakfast.<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"p117\">&#8211; <strong>L<\/strong><\/span><span id=\"p118\"><strong>he Durian:<\/strong> the smell of this fruit is similar to that of a garbage can, appetizing isn&#8217;t it, without any exaggeration, the<span id=\"132\" class=\"s-or-t\">Malays<\/span> are fans and with our luck the high season was in July, there was absolutely everywhere.<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"p119\">&#8211;<\/span><span id=\"p120\"> <span class=\"s-rg-t\"><strong><span id=\"133\">Cendol: <\/span><\/strong><span id=\"134\">c<\/span><\/span>t&#8217;s a dessert made with crushed ice, palm sugar, coconut milk and <span id=\"135\" class=\"s-rg-t\">cendol<\/span>, a kind of fluorescent green vermicelli.<\/span><span id=\"p121\"> We wanted to try it, intrigued by the color of the noodles, but it wasn&#8217;t great.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1122\" drink?<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"p148\">No alcohol in most establishments, as Islam is the official religion.<\/span><span id=\"p182\"> Only a few street vendors sell it at exorbitant prices.<\/span><span id=\"p150\"> We preferred to take advantage of the many cold drinks and juices on offer, which we asked for &#8220;without sugar&#8221;, because <span id=\"164\" class=\"s-rg-t\">they <\/span><span id=\"165\" class=\"s-rg-t\">&#8216;<\/span> re heavy on the sugar.<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"p151\">&#8211; <\/span><span id=\"p152\"><strong>Coffee and iced tea:<\/strong> fresh<span id=\"167\" class=\"s-rg-t\">please<\/span>, it was the discovery of our stay in Malaysia, it was so hot that we drank it absolutely all the time!<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"p155\">&#8211;<strong>L<\/strong><\/span><span id=\"p184\"><strong><span id=\"188\" class=\"s-rg-t\">he<\/span> juices<\/strong> of watermelon, pineapple, mango<span id=\"189\" class=\"s-rg-t\">..<\/span>.<\/span><span id=\"p185\"> In short, it&#8217;s as much fun as ever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1120\" id=\"p186\"><span id=\"190\" class=\"s-rg-t\">Foodstalls<\/span> offer a variety of inexpensive and often high-quality cuisine, so we hardly ever visited real restaurants in Malaysia.<\/span><span id=\"p187\">  We can recommend two addresses: the<strong><span id=\"191\">Helilounge<\/span> bar<\/strong> on the <span id=\"192\">34th<\/span> floor offers a 360\u00b0 view of the whole city, including the<span id=\"193\">Menara<\/span> Tower and Petronas Towers. We went there to celebrate our 5th anniversary (heart-warming moment).
