Our 4 days in the <strong>Torres Del Paine<\/strong> Natural Park in southern Chile, surveying the immense meadows, snow-covered mountains and glacier-fed lakes, completely enchanted us! The <strong>Cerro Fitz Roy<\/strong> trek is our second must-do in the region.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-dominant-color=\"5f6a72\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #5f6a72;\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/12784046_233620253649522_1379579828_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3694 not-transparent\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When to go: during <b>the summer between December and February <\/b>(the seasons are reversed in the southern hemisphere).<br \/><br \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We left in <strong>February<\/strong>, so <strong>remember to book accommodation in the parks a few months before your trip<\/strong> to ensure you have a place to pitch your tent or a cosy bed in a dormitory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"f&#xE9;vrierbresil\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fevrier_2026_Vivre_lincroyable_carnaval_bresilien\"><\/span>F\u00e9vrier 2026 : Vivre l&#8217;incroyable carnaval br\u00e9silien<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-dominant-color=\"856c6e\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #856c6e;\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/12627900_229292917409240_36003261_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3696 not-transparent\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brazil, and more specifically<strong> S\u00e3o Paulo<\/strong>, was the first destination on our world tour. For 4 days, we followed the <strong>blocos<\/strong> or <strong>bandas<\/strong>, which are people brought together, usually on a float, by a common element (a neighborhood, a dance school, an association&#8230;) who parade during carnival. The procession follows a float of <strong>dancers accompanied by musicians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s definitely the best way to experience Carnival like a Brazilian! Some blocos or bandas are well known and attract huge crowds, a sort of <strong>open-air discotheque<\/strong>. Others are more intimate, where you can learn <strong>a few samba steps<\/strong> with the locals.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This year&#8217;s carnival runs <strong>from February 22 to March 08<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tip: it&#8217;s possible to attend <strong>Samba School rehearsals before Carnival<\/strong> for an unbeatable price.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare your <strong>caipirinha<\/strong> before setting off on your parade &#8211; it&#8217;s a very easy cocktail to make!  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"marscuba\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"March_Cuban_paradise_beaches\"><\/span>March: Cuban paradise beaches<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-dominant-color=\"90a1af\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #90a1af;\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/cuba-2306714_1920-scaled.jpg?fit=920%2C614\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3711 not-transparent\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For us, <strong>Cuban beaches<\/strong> are the most beautiful in the world (Varadero, Cayo Coco, Cayo Largo&#8230;). With its translucent waters and white sandy beaches, it&#8217;s a real <strong>little paradise<\/strong>. To escape the winter doldrums, head for Cuba.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les villes et la campagne cubaine sont aussi \u00e0 explorer. We were enchanted by the <strong>beauty of this place<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/en\/visit-milan\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"3839\">visit to <strong>Milan<\/strong><\/a>, rent <strong>a car<\/strong> and head for the southern lakeside town of Como, a 1-hour drive away.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We went to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/en\/lake-como-itinerary-to-visit\/\">visit Lake Como<\/a> during the <strong>April vacations<\/strong>, an excellent time of year, with few tourists and beautiful sunny days!<br \/><br \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Flights from France are very affordable at this time of year<\/strong> (around \u20ac50 return from Bordeaux or Paris).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"aoutjordanie\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Mai_2026_Voyage_hors_des_sentiers_battus_en_Jordanie\"><\/span>Mai 2026 : Voyage hors des sentiers battus en Jordanie<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;re off <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/tourisme-en-jordanie-les-6-incontournables-de-votre-voyage\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2607\">to Jordan<\/a>! When we uttered this phrase, our friends and family were generally astonished by our choice of trip.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Honestly, we didn&#8217;t have this destination on our list of countries to visit. We left to find my <strong>sister<\/strong>. She worked in Amman, the capital, for two years in a French company.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nous avons ador\u00e9 notre s\u00e9jour, nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 agr\u00e9ablement surpris par le\u00a0<strong>nombre de lieux \u00e0 visiter<\/strong>\u00a0et la<strong>\u00a0beaut\u00e9 des diff\u00e9rents sites<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/en\/visit-petra-jordan\/\" id=\"2584\">P\u00e9tra<\/a>, l&#8217;une des 7 nouvelles merveilles du monde, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/en\/aqaba-jordan\/\" id=\"3905\">Aqaba<\/a>, pour ses fonds marins sublimes et l&#8217;incroyable d\u00e9sert du <strong>Wadi Rum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also appreciated the <strong>contact with the local population<\/strong>, who always helped us when we needed it.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When to go: Jordan is a <strong>sunny<\/strong> country with <strong>little rainfall <\/strong>and <strong>mild temperatures<\/strong> all year round! Nevertheless, the period <strong>from April to November<\/strong> is the best for temperatures (minimum 15 and maximum 40 degrees).<br \/><br \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find out the <strong style=\"font-size: inherit\">date of Ramadan<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: inherit\"> before you leave, as many shops and restaurants will be closed during this<\/span> period.<br \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take advantage of <strong>the May bank holidays to plan several days<\/strong>on site. It&#8217;s only a <strong>few hours<\/strong> by plane from France.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This <strong>Balkan<\/strong> country offers a wide range of activities, so there&#8217;s something for everyone!<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The interior of the country includes magnificent national parks in the heart of the Montenegrin mountains. The Adriatic coast offers<strong>authentic villages<\/strong> (Kotor, Budva, Ulcinj&#8230;) and <strong>crystal-clear beaches<\/strong> (Velika plaza, Mogren beach&#8230;).  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-dominant-color=\"a28d7c\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #a28d7c;\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/sea-833509_1920-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2399 not-transparent\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When to go: <strong>September is ideal,<\/strong> as temperatures are still pleasant and the high tourist season is over. <strong>Summer is still a good option<\/strong>, though.
