class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stockholm&#8217;s Royal Palace is one of the <strong>residences of the King of Sweden<\/strong>. It also houses the <strong>Court offices<\/strong>, staffed by around 200 people, and hosts numerous royal receptions.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The present palace was built after the devastating fire of May 1697. It comprises over <strong>600 rooms<\/strong>, spread over seven floors. The palace, a little <strong>austere<\/strong> on the outside, is packed with treasures on the inside, so don&#8217;t hesitate to visit.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sweden is a <strong>constitutional monarchy<\/strong>, now without executive power, and has been in place for over a thousand years.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, the royal family sees itself as a role model for the Swedish people. We recommend that you concentrate on the following parts:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Royal apartments<\/strong>: consisting of a succession of rooms, bedrooms, banqueting halls&#8230; not lacking in tapestries and porcelain objects. Maybe you&#8217;ll find a little inspiration for your future castle!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hall of Treasures<\/strong>: this is an incredible part of the museum, where you can see the treasures (as the name suggests) of the Swedish monarchy (crowns, sceptres, capes&#8230;).  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Royal<span style=\"background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2);\">Armory<\/span><\/strong> (paid admission since 2023): this section features a collection of carriages, weapons, armor and period clothing.
