[map]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To make the most of the<strong> various villages<\/strong> and activities around the lake, we recommend<em> <\/em>to <strong>choose several drop-off points<\/strong>. Finally, the distances between the most interesting villages are great, and the only road connecting them is the coastal road or a small trunk road, on which you won&#8217;t always be able to drive very fast.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re staying 3 or 4 nights, we recommend choosing 2 places to sleep, for example <strong>Mennagio<\/strong> and <strong>Como<\/strong> or <strong>Como and Varenna<\/strong> or <strong>Bellagio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;ve listed below the villages on Lake Como that we think are the most interesting to visit and therefore the nicest places to stay.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In our opinion, the most beautiful part of the lake lies to the south and center of Lake Como. Varenna: the most beautiful village on Lake Como<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/en\/varenna-lac-come\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"5180\">Varenna<\/a> is an <strong>authentic village<\/strong> where you&#8217;ll feel right at home. In our opinion, it&#8217;s the most charming, and we fell in love with its <strong>suspended cornice<\/strong>, its authentic port and the incredible Villa Monastero with its tree-lined garden.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To fully enjoy the charming village of Varenna, we recommend <strong>staying in the center<\/strong>. As you&#8217;ll see, there&#8217;s very little well-placed accommodation in Varenna, so we advise you to book <strong>as far<\/strong> in advance as possible.  <\/p>\n\n<figure Located at the southern end of the lake, it&#8217;s usually the gateway to Lake Como. If you only have one <strong>day<\/strong> to spend on Lake Como, we definitely recommend <strong>staying in Como<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We spent 1 day and 1 evening there before heading to Milan airport. This village is even considered<strong> one of the most beautiful Italian villages <\/strong>(just that).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, it&#8217;s a truly magnificent village that&#8217;s a must-see, and the <strong>number-one<\/strong> thing to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/en\/visit-bellagio-italia\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1905\">do in Bellagio<\/a> is to<strong> walk along the esplanade bordering the lake while enjoying an Italian gelato<\/strong>. Accommodation in Bellagio is limited, so if you wish to stay in this village, we advise you to book <strong>as far<\/strong> in advance as possible.<\/p>\n<div class=\"lazyblock-conseils-et-hebergements-168bML wp-block-lazyblock-conseils-et-hebergements\"><div class=\"conseils-hebergements\"><span class=\"titre-conseils\"><i class=\"fas fa-map-marked-alt\"><\/i>Hotel overlooking Lake Como<\/span>\n<p><p><strong>Accommodation in Bellagio<\/strong>: on our second stay in Bellagio, we stayed at the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/bellagio.en.html?aid=1529171&amp;no_rooms=1&amp;group_adults=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hotel Bellagio <\/a><strong>in the center of Bellagio <\/strong>. The hotel is comfortable, very clean, you can enjoy a lovely view of the lake from the hotel terrace and the breakfast is copious. One last point to make the most of your stay: the location is ideal, right in the center of town and a stone&#8217;s throw from the pier.<\/p>\n<p>The staff will give you <strong>good advice.<\/strong> In short, we loved it!
