We advise you to opt for a day ticket for just a few euros.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For accommodation, we recommend the <strong>city center<\/strong>, close to the main points of interest: the Duomo, <strong>Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II<\/strong> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/en\/la-scala-theater-milan\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"5096\"> <strong>La Scala<\/strong> theater<\/a> <em>(pink and orange districts on our map)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another option for sleeping in Milan is to select a district with good public transport links, such as Navigli or Porta Romana<em>(green and yellow districts on our map<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, Milan&#8217;s northern districts <em>(purple and blue on our map) <\/em>are close to the main railway station, making them ideal for getting around Milan or visiting the surrounding area.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;ll explain everything below!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Duomo_Milans_historic_center\"><\/span>1. Duomo: Milan&#8217;s historic center<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Located right in the heart of Milan, this is the <strong>historic district<\/strong> you won&#8217;t want to miss on your visit.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This district is home to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/en\/duomo-cathedral-milan\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"5025\">Milan&#8217;s<\/a> magnificent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/en\/duomo-cathedral-milan\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"5025\">Duomo cathedral<\/a>, the <strong>Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II<\/strong> and the <strong>La Scala<\/strong> theater.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s obviously the ideal area to stay in Milan, with immediate access to the main tourist attractions. Please note, however, that hotel prices may be higher due to the central location.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can get there easily by metro, using the red or yellow line, stopping at &#8220;Duomo&#8221;.<\/p>\n<div class=\"lazyblock-conseils-et-hebergements-Z25vYbF wp-block-lazyblock-conseils-et-hebergements\"><div class=\"conseils-hebergements\"><span class=\"titre-conseils\"><i class=\"fas fa-map-marked-alt\"><\/i>Coup de coeur &amp;#x2665;<\/span>\n<p><p><strong>Our<\/strong> favorite: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/it\/into-the-heart-of-milan-aparthotel.en.html?aid=1529171&amp;no_rooms=1&amp;group_adults=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">INTOMILAN Aparthotel Galleria Duomo<\/a>, just a <strong>few minutes&#8217; walk from the Duomo<\/strong>. The hotel&#8217;s location is perfect for visiting Milan. Our room was spacious, clean and well decorated. Brera: the most beautiful district<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is one of Milan&#8217;s most charming districts, full of small boutiques, art galleries and cosy restaurants.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don&#8217;t miss a visit to the Pinacoteca di Brera, an <strong>art museum<\/strong> featuring <strong>works <\/strong>by the great painters Raphael, Rembrandt, Tintoretto, Caravaggio, Boccioni and Modigliani, displayed in <strong>38 rooms<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The district is ideally located north of the <strong>Duomo cathedral<\/strong> and next to <strong>Milan&#8217;s fashion<\/strong> district (Quadrilatero della Moda). This is Milan&#8217;s luxury district, the trendy area with all the capital&#8217;s <strong>chic<\/strong> <strong>addresses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s also a great place to stay in Milan, as it&#8217;s less touristy than the Duomo, yet close to all the sights. This is Milan&#8217;s most romantic district, the <strong>little Venice of Milan<\/strong>, famous for its canals, where we recommend you take a stroll. It&#8217;s a lively district with many bars and restaurants.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To get there, take streetcar no. 2 or metro line 2 to the &#8220;Porta Genova&#8221; stop. The neighborhood is a 30-minute walk from the <strong>Duomo<\/strong>, passing by the <strong>San Lorenzo Columns<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s a good place to sleep if you&#8217;re looking for a lively neighborhood, and therefore a little noisy in the evenings.
