The town is known for its <strong>picturesque streets<\/strong> and <strong>rich heritage<\/strong>. And when summer rolls around, P\u00e9rigueux takes on a whole new look, making it an <strong>ideal vacation<\/strong> destination for those looking to combine <strong>culture<\/strong> and <strong>relaxation<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this article, we&#8217;re delighted to introduce you to the <strong>P\u00e9rigueux Plage<\/strong> summer concept, which over the past few years has transformed the city&#8217;s quayside into a veritable haven of relaxation and leisure, with plenty of free activities. Indeed, in our opinion, this is the kind of facility that P\u00e9rigueux was lacking in the summer.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From<strong>summer 2021<\/strong>, the banks of the Isle will be transformed, offering a surprising <strong>space for leisure<\/strong> and <strong>relaxation <\/strong>in the heart of the city. It&#8217;s the little sister of Paris Plage, which we frequented when we lived in Paris. Parfait pour avoir un aper\u00e7u de P\u00e9rigueux et de la cath\u00e9drale Saint-Front depuis l&#8217;eau. Nous attendons vos selfies avec votre <strong>p\u00e9dalo Licorne<\/strong> ! Please note that the<strong>Aquacap <\/strong>water park in Champcevinel is closed for works.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not far from P\u00e9rigueux, several sites offer idyllic settings for swimming in the heart of nature. From lakes to rivers, the Dordogne abounds in little corners of paradise. Here&#8217;s a list of the watering holes we visit during the summer season.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Plan d&#8217;Eau de Lisle<\/strong>: located in the commune of Lisle, this small beach offers a pleasant setting for swimming. (20 km north of P\u00e9rigueux)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lac de Neufont<\/strong>: this lake is famous for its beaches, ideal for family bathing. ( 26km south of P\u00e9rigueux)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lac de Jemaye<\/strong>: nestling in the heart of the forest, Lac de Jemaye is perfect for those looking to combine swimming, hiking and picnicking in the heart of nature. (45 km west of P\u00e9rigueux)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aux Etangs du<\/strong> Bos: this lake has a water park with slides and water games, perfect for children. It&#8217;s one of the best equipped in the Dordogne. (50 km south of P\u00e9rigueux and 20 km from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/en\/sarlat-2\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"11036\">Sarlat<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lac de Gurson<\/strong>: This vast body of water offers not only bathing areas, but also activities such as fishing, canoeing and pedal-boating.
