It’s often referred to as “Baroque Florence<\/strong>“, thanks to its sculpted churches, blond stone palaces, lively squares and historic center that’s perfect for exploring on foot. <\/p>\n\n

We visited Lecce during our road trip in Puglia<\/a>, and the town was one of our pleasant surprises of the trip. It’s easy to visit in just a few hours, but it’s also worth spending a night or two to enjoy the atmosphere at the end of the day, when the alleys fill up and the facades take on a golden hue. <\/p>\n\n
