Nous avions d\u00e9couvert Valence<\/strong>, lors de notre voyage en camping-car, simplement car la ville \u00e9tait sur notre itin\u00e9raire. Nous sommes compl\u00e8tement tomb\u00e9s sous le charme de cette ville, alors que nous n’avions pas d’attente particuli\u00e8re. J’y suis retourn\u00e9e (Floriane) une deuxi\u00e8me fois en city trip<\/strong> avec des copines pour explorer davantage cette incroyable ville.<\/p>\n\n

It is the third largest city in Spain, behind Madrid<\/strong> and Barcelona,<\/strong> which overshadow it a little. However, it is a city to visit. Located a few kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea, it is an ideal destination to extend the summer.<\/p>\n\n

We were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of its buildings<\/strong>, the pleasantatmosphere<\/strong>, its beautiful parks<\/strong> and gardens, the number of museums<\/strong> andactivities<\/strong> to do in Valencia. There’s a permanent vacation feeling!<\/p>\n\n

We share with you, below, our 10 must-sees <\/strong>(don’t miss the 6th point) as well as our itinerary<\/strong> to visit Valencia on foot in 1 or 2 days <\/strong>. We have also grouped all our good addresses<\/strong> on our map.<\/p>\n\n

What to do in Valencia: our 10 must-sees<\/h2>\n\n

Nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tonn\u00e9s par la quantit\u00e9 de choses \u00e0 faire et \u00e0 voir \u00e0 Valence, apr\u00e8s nos deux visites de la ville et nos nombreuses d\u00e9couvertes, voici ci-dessous les 10 incontournables (selon nous) !\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

1. Le parc Turia qui vous donnera envie de vivre \u00e0 Valence<\/h3>\n\n

We love cities with large and beautiful green spaces<\/strong>, we completely fell in love with Valencia when we discovered this huge urban park<\/strong>, the largest in Europe. <\/p>\n\n

If we settle down, it’s in Valencia for sure. If you arrive by plane you can observe this immense green corridor from the sky.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

This huge park<\/strong> crossing the city, was built in the old bed of the river Turia<\/strong>. This river was diverted following the frequent floods that the city knew and then transformed into a park, but what a good idea!<\/p>\n\n

This park is the meeting<\/strong> place of Valencian sportsmen, families for picnics or birthdays, walkers, dancers… In short, the weekend is lively and it’s the place to be<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n

We advise you to leave from the metro station“Alameda<\/strong>” and then go to Arenas beach<\/strong> (about 7km), on foot or by taking the bicycle paths present in the park. <\/p>\n\n

You will cross forests of trees, forests of palm trees<\/strong>, you will pass under the old stone bridges<\/strong> and obviously do not miss the impressive city of sciences<\/strong>! In short, a must-see during your stay.<\/p>\n\n

<\/i>Explore the park by bike<\/span>\n

➡️Pour explorer la ville<\/strong> et le parc du Turia \u00e0 v\u00e9lo <\/strong>(classique ou \u00e9lectrique), nous vous conseillons de r\u00e9server vos billets pour cette excursion de 3h<\/a>. Vous n’aurez plus qu’\u00e0 vous laisser guider et \u00e0 \u00e9couter les anecdotes de votre guide, Valence n’aura plus de secret pour vous !<\/p>\n

➡️ Location v\u00e9lo \u00e0 la journ\u00e9e<\/strong>, nous vous conseillons Lowcostbikerental<\/a> (8\u20ac\/ jour) 2 agences en plein centre ville, location tr\u00e8s simple, pensez \u00e0 bien attacher vos v\u00e9los car il y a beaucoup de vols comme dans toutes les grandes villes, n’attachez pas que la roue \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Bref vous ne regretterez pas cette balade \u00e0 v\u00e9lo !<\/p><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n

2. Prendre de la hauteur \u00e0 la cath\u00e9drale Sainte-Marie<\/h3>\n\n

Situ\u00e9e au coeur du quartier historique (casco antiguo) vous ne pourrez pas rater l’impressionnante Cath\u00e9drale Sainte-Marie<\/strong> de Valence entre la place de la Reine<\/strong> et la place de la Virgen<\/strong>, son int\u00e9rieur de style gothique avec quelques \u00e9l\u00e9ments romans et baroques est int\u00e9ressant \u00e0 observer, nous trouvons juste son prix un peu \u00e9lev\u00e9. (prix 9 \u20ac, audio-guide inclus)<\/em><\/p>\n\n

Our advice<\/strong>: come before 9:30 am the visit of the cathedral is free! So we advise you to set your alarm clock or to have a child who will take care of it very well \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

We recommend you to<\/strong> climb the Micalet<\/strong>, the campanile of the cathedral.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

This tower, 63 meters high, will allow you to reach a footbridge from which you will be able to observe all of Valencia after climbing a spiral staircase of 207 very narrow steps (price 2\u20ac). <\/p>\n\n

It’s a sporty climb, but once at the top you can rest and enjoy a 360\u00b0 view of the whole city. It is certainly one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Valencia.<\/p>\n\n

Our advice<\/strong>: go up to the halfway point to hear and see the bell ringing at the top!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

3. Explorer le centre historique \u00e0 pied<\/h3>\n\n

The historic center of<\/strong> Valencia is a must, we recommend you to stroll through the old streets, to walk around, to admire the numerous gothic facades<\/strong>, the blue dome roofs<\/strong>, the impressive buildings<\/strong> and the lovely little squares<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
