On paper, it was simple. In reality, we had to find a store, figure out the plans, sometimes show ID, swap out the SIM card, and keep the old one somewhere without losing it.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With an <strong>eSIM<\/strong>, everything goes much more smoothly. You set it up before you leave, right from your phone, and it activates once you arrive. When you arrive late at night at an airport or head straight out onto the road, it\u2019s a real convenience.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also keep our regular SIM card in the phone, which lets us keep our main number for important calls or two-factor authentication. You start with a data allowance that lasts for several weeks\u2014or even several months\u2014and you don\u2019t have to worry about it every other day. During our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pourquoi-pas-nous.com\/en\/europe-camping-car\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"10931\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tour of Europe<\/a>, just as on our trip through Scandinavia, we crossed several borders in a short period of time. On this kind of trip, having to switch SIM cards or data plans in every country quickly becomes a hassle.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">eSIMs with regional or international coverage are designed to prevent exactly that.
