Eating on the go
The center is very touristy. For a quick, inexpensive snack, try the panzerotti (turnovers filled with mozzarella and tomatoes). We liked the option of taking them away with us before we set off on our walk.
Sleeping nearby
We recommend the Masseria to enjoy the countryside in calm surroundings. Our favorite: Masseria San Francesco, an old farmhouse converted into renovated trulli amidst olive groves, with an excellent table focusing on local produce.
