Discover the 9 most beautiful beaches in Valencia, Spain

When you visit Valencia in Spain, don’t miss the city’s most beautiful beaches, just a few kilometers from the city center. With its mild Mediterranean climate, Valencia is the ideal place to enjoy the beach all year round.

We’ve been there twice, and when you love it, you don’t count. Below, we share with you our top 9 must-see beaches in Valencia. We have also grouped all our good addresses and our favorite beaches on our map to help you find them easily.

Where to swim in Valencia?

For swimming in Valencia, we recommend La Malva-Rosa beach, one of the closest to the center of the city and, in our opinion, the most beautiful. Don’t miss this great stretch of fine sand and crystal clear waters.

As you can see from the photo below of our arrival by plane, the center of Valencia is located just a few kilometers from an incredible coastline that is still somewhat unspoilt in places.

Also note that from June to September the water temperature is always above 20 degrees, we even bathed in mid-October. In short, there is really a little vacation feeling all year round!

Where to sleep in Valencia?

No hesitation to stay in Valencia, choose an accommodation in the historic center near the cathedral square of Saint Mary and the central market, a lively area during the day and quiet at night!

This will allow you to visit the main squares, monuments, the historic center and the El Carmen neighborhood on foot.

If you want to focus on the city of arts and sciences and the beaches, we recommend that you stay outside the center of Valencia, as the prices will be more interesting.

Our best addresses

Our favorite: Mon Suites San Nicolas, in the historic center: just a few minutes’ walk from Sainte-Marie Cathedral. The apartment’s location is perfect for visiting Valencia’s historic center on foot. In a beautiful, fully renovated building, our accommodation was spacious with air-conditioning, kitchen and tastefully decorated, excellent value for money and you’ll feel right at home. We will return without hesitation (90€ off season 130€ high season).

With pool: The Valentia Cabillers, in the historic center of town, where summer temperatures can reach over 40 degrees Celsius, it’s worth looking into accommodation options with pools. We spotted this hotel, in the heart of the historic center, offering great facilities and a rooftop swimming pool, so don’t hesitate to take a dip! (119€ low season 150€ high season)

Ideal for families: Macflats Ayuntamiento, If you’re coming with a group or family, we’ve reserved this huge 3-bedroom accommodation for 6 people. (there are also accommodations for 4 people), ideally located, next to the central station and the historic district, very clean with a friendly team (we were able to enter the accommodation early) and above all with excellent value for money (€30/person/night in October).

Inexpensive: Home Youth Hostel by Feetup Hostels, a nicely decorated youth hostel, certainly the best value for money in Valencia, €60 for a double room in the historic center.

Rooms Ciencias, in the City of Arts district and close to the beach, 5-minute walk from the City of Arts and Sciences and the Turia Gardens, beautiful rooms and restaurant right next door. Perfect for visiting the area.
