Discover the 9 most beautiful beaches in Valencia, Spain

For swimming in Valencia, we recommend La Malva-Rosa beach, one of the closest to the center of the city and, in our opinion, the most beautiful. Don’t miss this great stretch of fine sand and crystal clear waters.

Comme vous pouvez le constater sur la photo ci-dessous de notre arrivée en avion, le centre de Valence est situé à seulement quelques kilomètres d’un incroyable littoral encore un peu préservé par endroit (on vous dit où plus bas dans l’article).

Also note that from June to September the water temperature is always above 20 degrees, we even bathed in mid-October. In short, there is really a little vacation feeling all year round!

Notre carte des meilleures plages de Valence

1. La Malva-Rosa beach: the emblem of Valencia

La Malva-Rosa is the beach not to be missed during your stay in Valencia. It is one of the closest beaches to Valencia. It is located only 5 minutes by car from the city center and is easily accessible by public transportation and bicycle.

This immense sandy beach stretches for 2 kilometers and offers a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea. It is an ideal beach for families, because the water is shallow. A pleasant promenade runs along the waterfront, where you will find many restaurants and bars.

We advise you to stop at El Trompo: to eat an excellent paella and moreover in front of the sea, in short, the perfect place, think of booking!

2. Las Arenas beach: the liveliest

Located right next to La Malva-Rosa beach (our number 1 beach), Las Arenas beach is also very beautiful and is the closest to Valencia. It’s a livelier beach with a festive atmosphere, with numerous beach clubs dotting the coastline. The Marina Beach Club Restaurant was recommended to us by Valencians.

There are plenty of activities on offer, including water sports such as kitesurfing and paddleboarding.

Patacona Beach is a quiet beach located about 5 kilometers north of Valencia. This sandy beach is ideal for families with young children, thanks to its shallow waters and gentle waves.

The beach also has many facilities, including volleyball courts, showers and public restrooms. To get there, you can also enjoy its seaside promenade with restaurants, bars and ice cream shops.

8. Pinedo beach: the pitoresque one

Located around 5 kilometers south of Valencia, Pinedo beach was a traditional fishermen’s beach. This sandy beach next to the harbor is an ideal place to enjoy fresh fish. The beach also has public showers and toilets.

9. Port Saplatja beach: a charming little port

Port Saplatja beach, located to the north of Valencia, as its name suggests, is a beach adjacent to a port, so we recommend you go there for an afternoon stroll to see“La Petite Venise de Valencie “. A picturesque and unique place, with colorful buildings and small boats that make it a hidden gem.
