Discover the most beautiful beaches of Naples and its region in Italy

Naples est une ville située en bord de mer, vous pourrez profiter des belles plages aux eaux translucides et chaudes après votre journée de visiter de la ville de Naples.

We have selected the 6 most beautiful free beaches near Naples! Have a good swim!

Where to swim in Naples?

While in this region, temperatures are around 30 degrees in summer, there are unfortunately few beaches around Naples, most of them are private and paying (count about 15€ per day to access them). We have selected the 6 most beautiful beaches near Naples, most of which are public and free.

We do not recommend the nearest beach to Naples, Mappatella Beach, because it is full of garbage.

The more remote beaches are clean and the water is often translucent. Small linguistic point, beach in Italian is called Spiaggia and Bagno means bath.

Map of Naples beaches

1. Bagno Sirena

C’est l’une des plus proches de Naples, située à environ 20 minutes en voiture du centre (comptez environ 25€ en taxis). Elle offre de belles vues sur le golfe de Naples, dont le Vésuve.

There is a paying part and a free public part where you can put your towel, be careful it can be crowded in high season. It is a beautiful sandy beach and the water is very clear. In short, go there if you want to refresh yourself!

2. Miseno Beach

Located in Bacoli, about 30 minutes by car southwest of Naples, this public beach is one of the largest in the area.

It remains nevertheless frequented in high season. It offers great views of the island of Procida just across the street. It is a sandy beach, with a free public area. Parking place 7€/ day and possibility to rent a deck chair.

3. Bagno Elena

Located next to Sirena beach (our top 1) it is a private beach with restaurant, the entrance is 15€ with a deckchair. It is also a beautiful sandy beach with a beautiful view of the Bay of Naples.

4. Beach of the Gaiola

This beautiful free public beach is located in a protected marine park, offering a spectacular view of the sea. However, in order to limit the number of visitors, it is imperative to reserve a slot in advance (if you understand correctly, on Monday for the current week) to be able to access it. Feel free to share your tips in comments.

5. Beach of Miliscola

Located in Pozzuoli, about 20 minutes by car from Naples, this beach is ideal for families with children, as the water is shallow. It is also accessible by public transportation.

6. Beach of Marechiaro (Lo Scoglione)

You can either get there by road or by boat (5€ round trip). You can put your towel on the beach or on the rocks. You can rent deckchairs and canoes on site. Once again, it offers a beautiful view of the bay of Nples. It is frequented by Neapolitans.

One last piece of advice, if you want to enjoy heavenly beaches we recommend you to visit the island of Capri or to explore the island of Procida.
